It's Chuseok festival in Korea right now for 3 days since Saturday. It's a harvest festival and Koreans visit their hometown. What's good about this holiday is that there are so many interesting tv shows will be aired especially variety shows that has your favorite artists participate in.
One of the shows is called "Sweet Girl". It's a program where all the popular girl groups in Korea take part and show another side of them other than singing and dancing. Actually this show was aired last Friday and we have our winner for this show! The best of the best, T-ara's Boram. Although it was very unexpected. Okay. Let me tell you how it all began. First of all, I watched it without subtitles so I just guessed what happened from what their actions were. :P
The show started off with Noh Hong Chul, our MC for this program riding a bus. After that the bus he's riding picked up all the girl groups one at each time at different locations. Kara, 4minute, So Nyuh Shi Dae, After School, Brown Eyed Girls, and T-ara were the participants. They were all gotten pretty excited seeing each other in the same bus. They were then taken to a place to have some fun together showing off their skills in dancing. Polls were taken earlier and So Nyuh Shi Dae's Sunny took the title for prettiest lips while T-ara's Hyomin got the prettiest legs.
After that they were taken to where it seems like an abandoned place. This time they competed together for arm wrestling and half of them were eliminated. The qualifiers for the next round took a ride together on the bus and they had lucky draws on the bus. Brown Eyed Girls' Narsha seemed to be doing her own thing while they were busy with the lucky draws. The other girls sympathized with her so they decided to share their winnings with Narsha. My guess is because Narsha said something about she's being alone without her other members or she was sad because she didn't win anything for the draws.
So for the next round, the girls were competing in hammering the nails perfectly. After that, a round of truck pulling to some distance.
The only girls left in the final round were Kara's Hara and Jiyoung, 4minute Jihyun, After School's Beka, and T-ara's Boram and Q-ri. The final round is a competition of running race. The result was unexpected. Why? Because it looks like Hara was going to win but she fell off when she was just about to reach the finish line. So Boram won! She won herself a pack of Korean Beef. That must be an expensive high class beef but the show was priceless.
What I noticed throughout the show was the friendship between girl groups' members. For example, the closeness of Kara's Hara and So Nyuh Shi Dae's Jessica.

I'm on my semester break until December. It's boring. Need a job. Need to transfer to another college so I can study part-time.
What's good these days? It is the old school KPop. Well not really old school but it's the late 90's and early 2000's of KPop. H.O.T, Shinhwa, G.O.D, S.E.S., Fin.K.L, and 1TYM. These idol groups are the ones who started the flame of interest in the world of KPop. Most of these idol groups had already disbanded. The only one who still stay strong until now is Shinhwa except they are on hiatus. There are floods of girl/boy groups in the Korean music industry at the moment. But we can't forget what the previous generation of Korean idol groups had done for the world of KPop to be what it's like today.
Facebook's games are kinda addicting. Don't ya think so?
